1. Fitness with your Friends:

Opt for Group Fitness classes. It is fun and you will always look forward to it. You will not get bored. Try it out. Fitness with friends is fun and motivating too.

2. Try Exercise Mix-ups:

You might feel bored and not motivated to exercise if you keep doing the same routine. Mix it up a little bit. For instance, go for an early morning walk. The next day, do yoga. Plan weekly twice or thrice for fun routines like Zumba or other dance fitness programs. Depending upon your convenience, time and ability, mix exercises a little bit to keep going.

3. Knowing Visible Difference:

Get to know people experiencing visible differences due to their exercise routines. Look how fit people find it easy to follow a healthy lifestyle overall. It should motivate you to start exercising. It will at least motivate you to try a simple fitness routine i.e. to start with healthy food choices.

4. Exercising is ‘Self-Care’:

Everything that augments and improves you, on the whole, is a form of self-care. Exercising is one such best way of self-care. Take care of your body as well as you can. It’s the one constant thing that comes with you all along.

5. You can have a fitness role-model:

Fitness role models can sometimes seem too unrealistic for you. Fitness role models are good, but every individual has a unique body system and functioning. You have to choose fitness routines that are good for you and not what your role-model is doing. But yet, take things that you can do. Take things that suit you. Motivate from them but do what is best for you.

Don’t do it for the dress. Do it for yourself:

I hear my friends saying ‘I need to start exercising to fit into this dress or jean’. I quite disagree with them in this. The reason is, you and your health are more important than old dresses and old jeans.

Fitting into a dress and for that starting crash diet, heavy exercises are always unhealthy. Please don’t do it for the dress. Do it for yourself. When you exercise regularly and take care of your food choices, you don’t have to worry about fitting the dresses. You eventually become fit.



Exercising, Fitness, and Health are a way of life. You need to instill them as a part of your everyday life activities. By doing so, you will not need to motivate yourself into exercising. Find an exercise routine or fitness regime that you enjoy doing. It’s the best way to motivate yourself to exercise.




Your perspective changes when you understand the fact that exercising and staying fit enhances you in every possible way. Instead, the perspective of weight loss only puts exercising in a down shade.

1. Make Exercises your ‘Me Time’:

Do exercise for yourself. Don’t do it just because you have to. Motivate yourself to exercise by keeping in mind that you are doing a good thing to yourself.

2. Start Short:

Don’t worry about hours of intense training and exercising. If you are a beginner, always start short. Spend fifteen to twenty minutes every day in the early morning to exercise. Start by going for a walk. Increase it to one hour and in time you can climb for more hours. If you like to go cycling, or play tennis, or do any physical activity, start doing it for about fifteen minutes. Day by day increase the hours. Even if you join fitness classes, a good routine starts with slow warm-ups and gradually you move up. Remember to start short.

3. Set reminders:

To begin is always a difficult task. Especially when it comes to exercising, our mind always thinks about going back to sleep again. Set reminders to wake you up on time. Besides, I use to keep fresh workout clothes and my workout gears near the bed for the next day exercising. It’s a little trick that I do to motivate myself in the morning to start exercising. You can do it accordingly. Before going to bed, place them nearby. The next morning, the workout gear will never miss your eye. Instead of going back to bed to sleep, this little trick will help you get up.

1. Start Simple with Exercising:

Don’t start with unrealistic exercise or fitness goals. You don’t have to go for gym sessions, strength training, squats or other fancy things right away. Always start simple when it comes to exercising. It will keep you motivated. Go for a slow jog. Bring the habit of early morning walk. Try good stretches at home early morning.

Go cycling in the morning. Try to do physical activities like this for at least thrice a week. Include healthy food choices and reduce junk day by day. Little things like this make the whole exercising a complete system. Start with simple steps to sustain a long run in exercising.

2. Have realistic & healthy Fitness goals:

Having realistic, simple and healthy exercise routines is important. If not, then you will find more reasons to stay away from exercising. As I said earlier, start with baby steps when it comes to exercising. Spend fifteen to thirty minutes in the morning hours, preferably early morning for doing exercises. Realistic exercise goals will keep you motivated.

3. Use Fitness Journals:

Fitness journals are an easy way to motivate yourself to exercise. You can find good fitness journals and workout logbooks. They help you record your workouts, steps walked per day, weight charts, water intakes, sleep hours, food choices, etc. Try it.

4. Celebrate little Fitness goals:

Achieved the early morning walk for a whole week, then it’s time to celebrate. Walked more than five thousand steps in a day, pat your back. Celebrate when you achieve little fitness goals. It keeps you motivated and also inspired to do more.

1. Maintain a Goal-Weight Chart:

Maintain your goal-weight chart. Keep updating it every month or every week. Analyze your performance and weight fluctuations. If the goal chart shows a steady number, it means you are maintaining your weight steady. Any fluctuation like weight gain indicates you to do the next step. Start your exercise to get back on your ideal weight.

2. Awesome Work-out Playlist is a must:

Needless to explain, strong and inspiring workout playlists are good motivators to keep exercising. You should try this idea. The next time, you will feel like working out just by listening to the playlist.

3. Think about good changes in your body:

Physical fitness can solve almost all lifestyle health problems. A morning walk is a simple form of exercising daily. You can do it every day. It prevents numerous health problems from occurring. Think about all the good changes that can happen in your body. Get the motivation to exercise.

4. Staying Fit is Strength:

Staying fit physically is a great strength that complements your mental strength and wellness. Keep yourself physically fit. Your body is an important tool in carrying you and your dreams. Without good health, things can easily fall apart. Start Exercising regularly by keeping this point as motivation. Remember, fitness is also your asset.

5. Opt for a Fitness coach or work with a Trainer:

At some point, I have to agree that the whole exercise and fitness routines can go astray. It’s the very reason why people are starting to try this idea. Working under a personal trainer or a coach will keep you encouraged in doing your workouts, exercises, and routines. Coaches and trainers bring exercise and fitness discipline for us. It helps us stay motivated.

Fitness trackers are like an all-day reminder for us about exercising. Get yourself a fitness tracker. If you are new, try wearing them all day and see how it goes for you. There are others, who use fitness trackers only when they exercise, or workout, or while walking, cycling, jogging, etc. If you have small fitness goals like for example, walking ten thousand steps a day, then fitness trackers are the best choice. Setting little reminders like this is also a form of motivating yourself to try fitness and exercise. It has helped me. You should give it a try.

2. Fitness Apps:

You can install good fitness apps on your smartphones. Good fitness apps don’t just stop with reminding yourself to go and exercise. Some apps help you in healthy weight loss, making good food choices, improving your health and lifestyle, etc. Try fitness apps. Little steps like using fitness apps, fitness trackers, and everyday small fitness goals will all help you stay motivated to exercise and stay fit.

3. Exercise your Way:

Exercises and fitness are becoming fun. People are taking different exercise methods and routines to suit their lifestyle, their health and even based on time constraints. This is another reason to keep them motivated to exercise without quitting. I like to say the same to you. Pick exercises your way. You have choices like Pilates, yoga, strength-training, cardio-training, gym sessions, Zumba fitness, martial arts, boxing, little-heavy workouts, etc.

4. The After-Glow of Exercising:

The post-workout and post-exercise photos of you will reveal a glow in you. All the flushed out toxins, sweat and heaviness will all be gone and a refreshed feel stays. This after-glow of exercising will keep you inspired to do more exercise times.

Exercises and exercising are like opposite poles. We either love to do it or we find reasons to not do it. We have a third pole here and I suppose it’s got the majority of people under it including me. It is that we want to exercise but we keep hesitating to do it. We somehow feel a lack of motivation to do it. At the same time, we want to exercise. In simple terms, we want it but don’t know how to do it or get it.

    1. Make your Workout Gears Interesting:

    Gym clothes are no more boring now. Make your workout clothes and gears interesting. Athleisure wears are becoming a huge trend now. You can find workout clothes for different exercises and fitness regimes which is fun. Work out gears especially shoes are becoming so innovative, fun and functional. Moreover, having a good workout gear can help you make your exercising fun and motivated.

    2. Keep Reminding about Why you started exercising:

    Ask yourself about why you started exercising in the first place. The reminder is important to self-motivate to exercise. Whenever you feel hesitant or feel like quitting the exercises, remember why you started. If you have some serious fitness goals, then it should motivate you to keep exercising. If you started exercising for just fun, why not keep doing it. Keep reminding why you started.

      3. Remind yourself how good exercises are:

      It will help you understand the importance of exercising. A refreshed, light-weight feeling after workouts or exercising is inspiring us to do it the next time.

      Scientifically, doing exercise or any form of physical activity balances internal hormones and ensures good health. Likewise, when it comes to the emotional level, involving in any form of exercise gives a good morale boost. Exercises are good for us in every way possible.
