When Life Gets Hard Remember these 15 Things

When Life Gets Hard Remember these 15 Things

Here’s a question for us all.

Do you think life hands over all the good things to us on a platter?

No, is it?

Life, success and happiness are never easy. You have to work on it. It takes a struggle. It takes sacrifice. It takes all the best efforts you could give.

Eventually, at some point, we will come to a place where our life gets hard, and we don’t know what to do.

That’s alright. No need to feel like your life’s over.

You know what; this breaking point in life is where you get to sow the seed of success. The victory begins when you don’t surrender yourself to the breaking point.

"When life gets hard; remember to pick yourself. Dust off the troubles. Get back in the saddle and continue your ride. That’s the beauty of life. The more you fall, the more you sweat, the stronger you become. The success you get becomes unshakable."

Here’s what we like to do. To cheer you up, to give you a little pep up,

Here’s a list of 15 things to remember when life gets hard.

1. Allow yourself to feel bad.

C’mon. Life happens. Bad things happen. You don’t have to be uptight and say I can deal with it; I am stronger, or I am tougher.

Please don’t go hard on yourself. You add more pressure.

Allow yourself to feel bad.

Take your time to come out of failures or a loss.

Want to cry or scream? Do it.

Take a break if you feel there’s some pressure mounting upon you.

Admit that you are unhappy. And it is up to you to try your best to change that.

2. Everything 'can' and 'will' change.

The moment you are in now will change.

The life you are living right now can get a topsy-turvy turn.

People you thought to be bad can turn out to be the good ones.

Anything can happen. But nothing is permanent. This is our universe’s law.

What you are going through is temporary.

The best we can do is, collect ourselves together and sail the storm.

Look around you.

We have seen people who we thought will become hopeless after their loss or failure. But after some point in life, you can see them still doing it.

Remember,

What you are going through will change.

3. Hit that beat again

“The human capacity for burden is like bamboo – far more flexible than you would ever believe at first glance. – Jodi Picoult”

Challenges, difficulties, troubles, and many things that break you down will happen in our life. It’s not just now. We deal with them from time to time.

When life gets rough, remember,

You’ve done this before, and you can do it now. You have already carried some burden. You can carry it now, too.

Build this courage and affirmation to yourself.

Hit that beat again.

4. You Learn

I know it's cliché. But it is the truth, people.

You fall. You break. You learn that this is not the way. You get up, and you walk right.

Every failure you meet, every challenge you face, and every trouble you are trying to solve gives you real-time life experience.

No one can teach all the valuable survival lessons and success lessons except life.

5. Not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck- Dalai Lama

Worrying about the cookies you lost?

What if a giant cheesecake is waiting for you on the next step?

Not getting what you want can become a blessing for you.

Maybe this is not for you. Something good is waiting for you.

Not getting what you want, not going where you want can all be a blessing in disguise. There could be wonderful opportunities and possibilities waiting for you.

6. Travel. Don’t Escape.

“When faced with a challenge, look for a way, not a way out- David Weatherford”

Escapism is not cool, though it looks like the best option for you.

But stepping up and resolving the problem is cool.

Let’s stand up. Let’s face it.

If not us, then who will steer our life from terrible weather?

We can surpass any bad weather. For that, we just have to look for away. Not a way out.

7. Building Courage:

“We don’t develop courage by being happy every day. We develop it by surviving tough times and challenging adversity – Unknown.”

When life gets hard to stand; when life gets tougher, you develop an unconquerable self-courage.

You will not notice, but it builds every time you come across things that break you.

How do you think you resolved any problem? It’s because, deep down, there’s a courage that encourages you to “Do it and Face it.”

Don’t expect everything to go happy. Life doesn’t work that way.

Become a diamond by facing all the adversities and challenges life throws you.

8. We don’t grow when everything is easy or handed over to us on a platter.

Do you like to be in your comfort zone?

Why don’t you get out of it and see the world?

How will you grow if you stay in a safe place?

How will you know the value of life if it hands everything to you?

You grow tall when you go through all hardships in life.

9. Be the sport. Not the victim.

Get up.

Get through the day.

Get it over with.

Be the sport. But never play the victim.

We think we are the one’s suffering.

No.

Life gets hard for everyone at some point in life. No one can escape that. No one stays happy all the time. No one stays sad all the time.

When life gets hard; refuse to be its victim. Stand up and give a nice blow to all things that bother you.

It’s easier said than done, and I know that. But what better way is there?

10. People face far worse struggles than us.

“No. We don’t always get what we want.

But consider this:

Some people will never have what you have right now.” – Unknown.

When life gets hard; kindly remind yourself that there are people who are less fortunate than you.

Take a step back and count the blessings you have in life.

11. Look for the Silver lining.

“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of equal or greater benefit.”–Napoleon Hill.

Life is good, even if you feel otherwise. It’s worth all the hardships we encounter.

Why I say this is, our life is filled with silver linings. We just have to look for it.

Life can be hard, and I agree. But it has all the positive things to live for and look forward too.

12. What is your choice?

You have a choice.

You can motivate yourself and try one more.

Or you can complain, worry, and stay miserable.

Same way,

You have another choice.

Is it the path of positivity and hope? Or is it the path of negative emotions?

Here’s a wonderful quote:

“I love when people who have been through hell walk out of the flames carrying buckets of water for those still consumed by the fire.” – Stephanie Sparkles.

When life gets tougher,

Always travel in the path of hope, kindness, humbleness, and positivity. Please don’t choose the negative side to let your hard times out.

13. The Magic Spell: Keep Going

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” – Dale Carnegie.

Challenges in life are inevitable. But choosing to stay down or stand up and keep going is in our hands.

14. Get help people. There’s no shame.

Sometimes it feels like we could use an extra shoulder to carry our burden. Even if it’s for a short while, we may feel like we need an extra hand.

It’s natural. There’s no shame in asking for help.

Get rid of the ego and get help when you feel you could use some help.

15. Note to Self :

Let’s get into the lighter side.

Be kind to yourself

Work out. Stay fit.

Buy things you like.

Take a break. Travel.

Pursue your favorite sport in your free time.

Make healthy food choices.

Go see your friends.

Have good times with your family and loved ones.

Forget what people think about you.

Remember, you are stronger than you think

Do things you like

Don’t compare yourself to others.

Great things take time. Life takes time to settle as you expect. Meanwhile, take care of yourself.
