1. Lack of Resilience:
“Resilience is, knowing that you are the only one that has the power and the responsibility to pick yourself up.” – Mary Holloway
You cannot achieve your goals if you are not ready to be resilient. Be prepared to pick yourself up every time you fall. Keep trying!
2. Easily Giving Up:
“If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” – Michael Jordan
Don’t see hurdles as problems. See what is causing them. Work on it. Resolve it. Get back on track. But, don’t stay there and keep looking at the problem in front of you. To easily give up is why most people can’t achieve their goals.
3. Instant Wins.
“Most people fail, not because of lack of desire, but because of a lack of commitment.” – Vince Lombardi
Your goals will take the time and effort it needs to come out successfully. If you want quick-wins and easy-solutions, you can’t reach your goals fruitfully. Goals need patience and commitment.
4. Not Ready to Take Risks:
“Be Brave. Take Risks. Nothing can substitute experience.” – Paulo Coelho
Your experience through failures, success, risks, criticisms, and challenges are important to shape your goals better. If you fear to take risks and play it safe, there will be no improvements.
“Comparisons with myself brings improvement, comparisons with others brings discontent.” – Betty Jamie Chung
Don’t compare your goals. Honor your goals and efforts you are giving for it.
6. Lack of Clarity:
“The More clarity you have, the more powerful your goals are.” – Robert G. Allen
Vagueness is not the right approach. Be specific and Clear about your goals.
