Some Excel At skill: Strength & Some Do not Which One Are You

“Life is very interesting. In the end, some of your greatest pains become your greatest strengths.”
– Drew Barrymore

Before we start talking about the topic of this article, what do you think about this quotation?

Isn't it true!

There are some people who have some weak points and some have strengths. But it is your duty and most importantly it is your responsibility to make your weaknesses your strength. This is the only mantra of success.

You can read anyone's biography either a scientist or an actor, you will notice that how beautifully they transform their weakness into their strengths.

Okay fine, now you understand its importance. But how to achieve it?

What to follow to convert your weakness into a strength?

How can our weakness be our strength?

If you know that you will do something good with your life, then this is enough! You will achieve it. Many people don't know the exact goal of their life; they try various paths and choices that can make them happy.

If you are also stuck in the same situation, then, believe me, you will also do something great in life!

You will get three scenarios in your life.

What are they? Let's see!

1. You have to lift a bag of five kilograms.

You looked at the bag and concluded that it is impossible for you to lift it.

You give up!

2. You have to lift the same bag.

You looked and decided to lift it up. And you gave your hundred percent to carry it. With all your efforts, you succeeded.

3. You have to lift a bag of five kilograms.

You just went and lifted it without having a single thought that this bag is heavy, and it may hurt me if I carry it on my shoulder. You were damn sure that this task is going to be super easy for you.

You were mentally prepared for it. This is what I mean by making weaknesses your strength.

When you start believing that this weakness is going to be your biggest strength, then only you can achieve your goals.

● List of personal strengths

Tell me, what do you mean by physical strength?

One who can lift heavy objects effortlessly will be characterized as a physically strong person.

Right?

What makes us physically strong?

Our immunity and our muscle strength!

Then what do you think about mental strength?

For this, our mental muscles must be strong enough to bear mental stress.

And, this depends upon our reactions towards the situation we face in day to day life.

To create personal strength, it is important to have strong physical and mental strength or stability.

1. SELF-CONFIDENCE

2. POSITIVITY

3. SOLUTION APPROACH MIND-SET

4. CALM AND PATIENT

● Strength of a person.

This can not be judged by a person's achievements in his or her life.

I know one of my uncles, who is about seventy years old, who used to do farm work in his adulthood. He did not get higher education or any degrees; he did not receive any awards or medals in his life, but I can surely say that I have not met such a powerful person in my life till now. I am not talking about physical strength, but I want you to relate it with mental or say psychological strength.

Also, you might have read about many suicide cases in newspapers. That also by well-educated people. What will you say now?

Strength is not related to your education, but to the situations or circumstances, you went through.

● Personal strengths

Every plan we create has to pass through three layers, which are body, intellect, and emotions.

To work on any part, you have first to keep your thus three pillars ready. You can not do anything if any one of these does not work properly.

Do you feel like you will complete your task if you are emotionally ready to work and have all intellectual plans to work on, but your body is not in a proper condition?

No! You can not!

Similarly, if you have to live your life fully, you must have three pillars ready.

1. Belief.

Believing that yes, I can do this, will do your half of the work.

This will create immense energy in you, which will drag you to do it.

2. Courage.

You must have this courage that no matter what comes in between, I will fight with it and will conquer my plan at any cost. Get ready to accept every circumstance and to tackle them too!

3. Acceptance.

My teacher used to say that you must prepare for the best but must be ready to accept the worst. This is as important as accepting the challenge.

No matter what you get, failure or gold!

Accept it with your heart out and start preparing for the next tasks wholeheartedly.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. – Mahatma Gandhi

Forgive yourself!

These are the most important personal strengths that you must have to live a happy life.

Emotional health

Definition

Emotional health is a person's ability to manage and accept feelings through challenge and change. Someone who is emotionally healthy can allow their emotions to be easily digestible.

What is emotional health?

It is an important part of our overall health. People who are emotionally healthy are in control of their thoughts, able to cope with life's challenges. They feel great about themselves and have really amazing partnerships in their relations.

Being healthy by emotions doesn't mean being full of happiness every time. It means being aware of your emotions. It is not like emotionally healthy people do not feel stress, anxiety, and grief, the thing is they have an idea to control and manage their negative intuitions.

Research shows that emotional health is a skill, and there are steps you can take to improve your emotional health.

➤ Be aware of your emotions and reactions.

➤ Express your feelings inappropriate ways.

➤ Think before you act.

➤ Manage stress.

➤ Strive for balance.

➤ Take care of your physical health.

➤ Connect with others.

➤ Find purpose and meaning.

● Signs of good emotional health

➤ You are comfortable with who you are.

➤ You are adaptable and resilient.

➤ You have positive relationships with people in life.

➤ You have a sense of purpose.

➤ You take care of your physical health.

➤ You are comfortable saying 'no.'

● Role of emotions on health and diseases

The emotional state determines human behavior. A bad mood can cause a person to be ill-mannered and ironic.

Disorder of emotion interferes with human efficiency; lack of concentration, lack of appetite, increased risk of accidents, lack of sleep, palpitations, etc.

Emotional disorders in children can appear in the form of temper tantrums, abdominal pain, spasms, tics, and antisocial behavior such as aggressiveness.

There are many disorders known as psychosocial diseases.

● Essential hypertension

● Peptic ulcer

● Asthma

● Ulcerative colitis

The five signs of suffering from poor emotional health are following.

➤ Their personality changes.

➤ They seem uncharacteristically anxious, angry, agitated, or moody.

➤ They withdraw themselves from other people.

➤ They stop taking care of themselves and engage in risky behavior.

➤ They seem overcome with hopelessness and overwhelmed by their circumstances.

● Examples of personal limitations

It is a very crucial step to face your personal limitations and rise above them. This will definitely require lots of honesty and courage.

For this, it is necessary to know what are your general limitations.

1. Fear of society.

Utmost important, I guess. All of us are worried about what people will think of us. Stop thinking this and do what you wish to.

2. Fear of your own family, friends, etc.

Some people may face this sort of problem too. These are all bunch of nonsense. But yes, you have to overcome this. Explain to them the importance of a particular task in your life.

They will surely understand and help you out. If not, do not worry about the society; they will get it in the future when you achieve success.

It is said by a well-known person that "First they will laugh at you, then they will ignore you, then they will fight with you, and then you will win" I am not sure about the writer of this quote, but it is so true.

3. Fear of failure.

Yes, you read it right. Overcome with this and rise yourself!

"I firmly believe that unless one has tasted the bitter pill of failure, one cannot aspire enough for success." ~Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Strength can be achieved by the experience in one's life. Always try to be available for all the problems you came through. This will help you to relate to the situation and will definitely guide you in the future.

"Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity; avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny." -Lord Krishna.
